Please use the following guidelines when ordering replacement battens:

1) ALWAYS provide the glider model, size, AND glider serial number.

2) SPECIFY left or right. (Battens with black front tips (10mm), or with black tape on the rear (12mm) , are right side battens. White front tips or no tape are left side battens.)

3) WHENEVER POSSIBLE, provide a measurement of the overall length of the batten, measured along the curve of the batten, from one end of the tube to the other (excluding front and rear tips).

4) REMEMBER: Wills Wing battens are numbered from the tip inwards – the smallest number corresponds to the shortest batten.

5) On any glider equipped with tip wands – Talon, T2, U2, Sport 2 – the shortest batten is designated as the NUMBER TWO batten (NOT as the number one batten – on a tip wand equipped glider, there is no number one batten). Order tip wands as “tip wands” – a tip wand is not a number one batten.

6) On MOST Wills Wing gliders NOT equipped with tip wands, the number one batten is a straight batten, so the shortest cambered batten is still the number two batten. (Only Harriers, and early model Ducks have cambered #1 battens, also the #1 battens on Condor 330’s are bent, though not actually cambered).

7) If not specified, it will be assumed that any batten order is for a TOP SURFACE batten. If ordering a bottom surface batten, specify BOTTOM SURFACE, and use the same numbering convention – number from the outside in; shortest batten is the #1 batten, etc.
